I was just reading on Reddit, which is something you should probably never do, even if it’s not that directly harmful, because Reddit sucks. I was reading about some people’s spiritual belief that the pineal gland is the third eye (I personally don’t think that makes much sense, I think it would make more sense to hypothetically position the third eye in the frontal lobes where it’s generally depicted as being, but that would require for people who want to feel spiritual to actually use their brains, the horror) and someone defended that belief by saying Steve Jobs had it. Then someone else said that Steve Jobs died of his weird beliefs because he tried to use a fructivore diet to cure cancer. The first person asked what that had to do with his company. Since I didn’t want to post on Reddit since Reddit sucks, I decided to post here instead: well, his company was called Apple…

Andy Kauffman had a similar belief, that fruits and vegetables would help him: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andy_Kaufman#Illness_and_death
"but that would require for people who want to feel spiritual to actually use their brains"
That has to be my favourite part of this post.
Happening to live in a religious place while being an atheist kind of sucks. I'm sick of people around me speaking utter nonsense.
Here's something that happened to me a few days ago, I think you'll enjoy reading it as it's quite funny:
A boy came to me and asked me if I was an atheist to which I replied yes. He continued, "So what proof do you have for the non-existence of God?" I wasn't in the mood to talk so I tried to get it off with satire, "So you also believe in winged horses as you don't have any proof for its non-existence either." He looked at me with a look that spoke I said something stupid, then he proceeded to say, "You don't know there are winged horses too."
