Why Netanyahu Bolstered Hamas | The Nation
For years, Netanyahu propped up Hamas. Now it's blown up in our faces | The Times of Israel
I’ve withheld making comments on Netanyahu either way because I could only find one source for information and had no guarantee it was accurate. Today I looked into finding the firsthand sources and yes, Netanyahu did fund Hamas to try to play “divide and conquer” and make Israel an all-Jewish territory, which makes Netanyahu really responsible for October 7th and all the things Hamas did.
The reason Palestinians aren’t taken as refugees even by other Arab countries is because they’re all allied with Israel, so if you don’t like Saudi Arabia in addition to not liking Hamas, you should also not like Netanyahu, who most Israelis blame for October 7th anyway. The reason the Palestinians kept turning down two-state solutions is also most likely because the Israeli governments have been doing the same thing for decades, it’s just only blown up now. So much for the idea that there are brilliant Zionist conspiracies. There are only really dumb Zionist conspiracies.
I support Israel’s right to exist. I support ideally a two-state solution at this point, but I also think that will never happen because the very most extremist believers in Rabbinic Judaism think they have to own all of the land of Israel and get the Jewish Messiah to show up (though the ultra-Orthodox Hasidic Jews believe Israel should only be a state after their Messiah shows up) while the most radical Islamists believe that they have to kill all of the Jews to get the Muslim Messiah to show up.
Wanting people to live in peace is really a Christian perspective and these people mostly aren’t Christian. In fact if you convert to Christianity you’re legally not Jewish in Israel even if you’re ethnically Jewish, so much for the entire reason the British Empire founded Israel to begin with. You can even see an Israeli protestor associating Netanyahu with a cross in the image above, as if Jesus were some kind of warmonger and the cross weren’t a symbol of humility, that’s how much a lot of Israelis are against Christianity. However, it does make it make more sense why the Christians in the Holy Land often align themselves with the Muslims, because the extremists Jews are trying to exterminate or expel anyone who isn’t Jewish from Israel, while the extremist Muslims don’t particularly like Christians but are mostly just Antisemitic.
"Jews are planting Gharqad trees to protect themselves" ~ Elder Of Ziyon - Israel News
Note to people in America and other Western countries who are supporting the Israeli Government Lobby (as opposed to just supporting Jews moving to the Holy Land,) especially Christians: Do you know why there are almost no Christians named Solomon? It is because most Christians don’t think they really know that Solomon was saved for sure based just on what the Bible says. You might say, “Of course! He engaged in idolatry!”
Do you know what he actually did to engage in idolatry though? It wasn’t writing all the demon summoning books that were attributed to him or whatever, though maybe that’s part of it, that came after as far as I can tell. No, it was because he collected a bunch of pagan wives and built shrines for them to their gods. It was because he helped other people worship idols that made him an idol worshipper, not because of the purported demon summoning books, that might have happened but as far as I can tell it happened after if it did. So if you are actively supporting Israel as a Jewish theocracy (it’s not even an ethnostate, you’re legally kicked out of Judaism in Israel if you believe in Jesus, which means no Messianic Jews who just like yarmulkes and menorahs or whatever either, much less people who are just ethnically Jewish) or Palestine as an Islamic theocracy, you are literally doing what Solomon did and supporting other people’s idolatry so you can gain more worldly power. That’s not very Christian.
The Israel-Palestine conflict (or just Israel-Islamists if Palestine is replaced) will likely go on until the end of time. I would love for them to prove me wrong, but if it stopped I would be inclined to assume it was the end of time to be honest.
First of all, reading The Nation for a perspective on Israel is like reading Pravda for a perspective on the US.
"Netanyahu did fund Hamas to try to play “divide and conquer” and make Israel an all-Jewish territory, which makes Netanyahu really responsible for October 7th and all the things Hamas did." - Netanyahu did want to divide Gaza from the West Bank but never sought to conquer either and certainly didn't want to make Israel into a "all-Jewish territory" - Please show me where he wrote or said that or what actions he took to do it.
"The reason Palestinians aren’t taken as refugees even by other Arab countries is because they’re all allied with Israel" - this is a new one on me and a comment that can be made by one who has no understanding of the Middle-East. The reason Arab countries don't take in Palestinians is that Arab countries do ever take in ANY refugees - in case you have not noticed. Where exactly are Syrian refugees living?
" The reason the Palestinians kept turning down two-state solutions is also most likely because the Israeli governments have been doing the same thing for decades, it’s just only blown up now. " - i guess you are ignoring all Mideast history from the 1930's onward. in the 1930's the Arabs (then, Palestinian meant Jews living in mandatory Palestine) were offered a state where the Jews would inhabit a small sliver along the coast (see Peel Commission). In 1947 they were offered a state larger than that offered to Israel - see UN Partition. Both of these were turned down. From 1949-1967 they ruled all of the West Bank and Gaza. No state either. Ehud Barak offered a state on nearly the entire West Bank in 2000-1. Ehud Olmert offered even more than Barak in 2015.
Neither Hamas nor the Palestinian Authority want a state that does not allow them to exile or annihilate the Jews living there.
Michaela, that was a fricking brilliant analysis of the impossibility insane situation going on in the Middle East and the psycho(patho)logical mindset of those running it and supporting it. Peace ☮️ is a four letter word to those guys. IDK if it’s just too much sun on their heads in that region or what? But their sense of morality is--let’s just say--not the peaceful cooperative type. When was it ever?! Israel says it’s their land. Ok where’s the deed? I’m not referring to the Balfour declaration. Cause if you pushing this on the Bible, well that’s a whole other can of worms that guys like Mauro Biglino and Clif High are pulling apart.
